Summary: The project aims to improve the quality of education in different educational institutions (primary schools and universities) through the implementation of a learner-centred approach (LCA), to improve the competences of primary school teachers and administrators, based on the EFQM model, and to develop a “Learn and Lead” functional teacher self-management in the school setting.
Project object: Developed a study programme on “Applied Pedagogical Leadership – Learn and Lead” for bachelor/professional students of pedagogy; Developed and tested in-service programmes for teachers on “Applying a Learning-Oriented Approach” and on “Teacher Self-Development and Leadership – Learn and Lead”; Developed a professional development programme for the administration of educational institutions (heads/deputy heads of primary schools and deans/vice-deans of universities) based on the EFQM model; Trained BOP teachers/consultants, who will work with teachers in their own schools at the end of the project.
Result to be achieved: 3 new training programmes developed; Database of teachers (trained in the Learner-Centred Approach framework and Learn and Lead) and managers (trained in the EFQM competency model) developed; Guidelines on CPD for primary schools developed to help them successfully implement CPD in their organisations.
