Prof. dr. Eric Brunat
June 17th, 2023, the Senate of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) by Resolution No. 1SN-32 decided to bestow the title of Honorary Member of MRU to France’s University of Savoie-Mont-Blanc Chambéry (USMB) Professor Dr. Eric Brunat for his long-term leadership of the joint MRU and USMB European and International Business Law Master’s study programme and exceptional mutual cooperation.
Dr. Brunat is a Doctor of Economics and a specialist in international economics (EU integration, transition economics, development economics and regional economics). He holds the position of Professor of Economics at the University of Savoie-Mont-Blanc, Faculty of Law. He is a member of the Institute for Research in Management and Economics (IREGE) and responsible for lectures at the Grenoble Institute of Political Science. He has been the Vice-Rector of the University of Savoie-Mont-Blanc and been awarded that University’s Honorary Medal.
Eric Brunat was the Research Director of the Center for European and Russian Economic Policy in Moscow and Senior Economist – Advisor to the United Nations (UN) Development Program (UNDP) in Russia, Belarus and Moldova.
For more than 30 years, Prof. Brunat has been conducting research on the European and international economy, including Soviet-type economy and the conditions of transformation and modernization. As a visiting professor, he gave lectures and made presentations at international conferences in various countries (including Russia, Belarus, Moldova, China, Morocco, Germany, Japan, USA, etc.). Eric Brunat is the author or co-author of more than 150 publications (in English, French, Russian, Ukrainian and Spanish).
