Summary: As the world becomes more global, the Lithuanian language is being vetoed and changed. Therefore, when teaching the subject language, which according to the subject descriptions is included in the Introduction to Studies, Introduction to Studies 2, it is particularly relevant to help students to understand the knowledge of the subject programme, to strengthen the young people’s confidence in their own language and in its creative powers, to consolidate the perception that the development of correct and imaginative written and oral language skills is a process of fromlative development and should not be the end of higher education, to introduce the concept of language as a value of the nation. The aim is to develop students’ conscious attitude towards the subject language as an integral tool for the work of future professionals, to develop the ability to create and organise special texts, and to form the skills of correct public speaking. It demonstrates the peculiarities of scientific and professional language, introduces the professional lexicon based on terminology and the criteria of norming. The different genres of written work and the structure of a business text are discussed. The preparation and delivery of public speeches close to the field of study.

Result to be achieved: In the exercises on the contemporary Lithuanian language and its culture, students are introduced to the concept of the contemporary Lithuanian language and its culture, the basic concepts of formation and morphology, the syntactic structure of the Lithuanian language and related concepts.

The project is carried out within the framework of the State Programme for the Use, Normalization and Dissemination of the State Language.
