Program Objective

The objective of the program is to prepare highly qualified project management professionals and leaders who possess competencies in project planning and implementation, attracting and effectively managing financial and human resources, ensuring project quality control, and managing risk. It also aims to develop leaders capable of implementing innovations in their work and engaging in research in the field of project management.

These second-level studies are developed in collaboration with partners such as the IT company “DXC Technology,” which shares its practical knowledge, insights, and experience from ongoing and completed projects, presenting their success stories and challenges. The Master’s program in Project Management provides an opportunity to enhance existing leadership and management skills for current organizational managers and leaders who have general management knowledge and experience but seek to learn and apply the latest trends in project management and effective management practices in contemporary technology and business domains. The study subjects are designed in accordance with the competencies outlined in PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge 6), PRINCE2, and AGILE, which are necessary for project managers working in the international market. Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to obtain the PMI certification (PMP – Project Management Professional).

Career Perspectives

Graduates of the program will be able to work as project managers and managers in international corporations, private and public companies or institutions, and hold various positions as government officials in ministries, departments, municipalities, and other public sector organizations. Upon completion of the project management studies, opportunities arise to join large international companies operating in Lithuania and abroad, contribute to the team, and assume leadership positions.

General Competences and Study Program Outcomes:

  1. Personal and Social Skills:
  • Ability to gather and systemize information and secondary data to evaluate situations, apply information technologies, use databases for data collection, analysis, and communication.

  1. Knowledge and its Application:
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and evaluate strategic management processes and elements, including strategic project management processes and elements based on the recommendations of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).
  • Ability to characterize the key elements, theories, and models of the strategic process, perform strategic analysis of organizational activities, select appropriate techniques and tools.
  • Ability to assess internal and external project assumptions and implementation conditions, initiate and plan projects, perform analysis of internal and external project assumptions and implementation conditions, and initiate projects.

  • Ability to select and apply appropriate data analysis methodologies, integrate scientific knowledge and research data in making financial management decisions and evaluating alternatives in a high uncertainty environment.

Study Organization

Full-time studies on Campus are organized on weekdays from 18:00 to 21:00. Once a week studies will be held on the virtual learning platform “Moodle”.

If some students will not be able to arrive on time due to serious reasons (ex. prolonged TRP application procedure), they will be able to join the courses online for the first semester.

  3. Pay the non-refundable application fee (for non-EU citizens – 100 euros, for EU-citizens and MRU alumni – 50 euros)
  4. Receive your application evaluation results
  5. Confirm your acceptance by paying the first-year tuition fee and 50 euros registration fee (non-refundable)
  6. Sign the study contract
  7. Start Temporary Residence Permit application procedure
  8. Register to studies
Admission Requirements

Required documents:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent first university degree diploma (3-year study duration minimum)
  • Academic transcripts of each study year
  • Document proving English language level
  • Motivational letter (please note that the authenticity of the motivation letter will be verified using specialized software, so it should be written without AI assistance)
  • Passport copy

Additional educational documents might be required depending on the country of residence.

Provided documents must be in color, have no cut corners (high quality scan).

Notes:

  • By submitting the documents applicant agrees for one’s information to be shared with other institutions that the University might refer to while processing the academic verification.
  • Applicants might be asked to participate in additional knowledge evaluation.
  • There are no limits regarding age, but please note, if you have taken a gap of 5 years or more after high school graduation, we may ask you to take additional tests.
English Language Requirements

Required level – B2

Assessments of English language proficiency certificates equivalent to level B2:

  • TOEFL IBT 72-94
  • IELTS 5.5-6.5
  • PTE score 59-75
  • DUOLINGO 100-125

If you do not have a certificate proving your English language proficiency level, you can take the University Online English language level test. You will be able to choose this option while filling in the application. The test is free of charge.

Certificate is not required if your native language is English or if your previous studies were conducted fully in English language.

Documents Legalization
  • If original educational documents are not in English, Lithuanian or Russian languages it has to be supplemented with an official translation.
  • Official translation has to be confirmed by a sworn translator’s signature, notary, apostille or consular legalisation.
  • If original educational documents are in English, Lithuanian or Russian language, scanned copies are enough.
  • Accepted students shall present their original educational documents to the International Office upon arrival to studies.

Qualification Recognition

Recognition of Foreign Qualifications

  • The evaluation and recognition of prior qualifications is a part of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) admissions process.
  • By submitting the online application you confirm that the documents are legitimate and that MRU can verify the authenticity of the documents by contacting its issuing authority and national ENIC/NARIC centre.
  • Documents uploaded must be in good condition and in full colour. Documents issued in languages other than English, Russian, or Lithuanian must be accompanied with an official translation into English or Lithuanian. 
  • Before you apply make sure that you have a complete documentation package and that your qualifications are giving access to higher education according to the study programme level you are applying for at the MRU.  

Recognition Criteria

  • The purpose of an assessment is to compare a foreign qualification with a similar level qualification awarded in Lithuania according to quality, profile, content, workloads and learning outcomes.
  • Your qualification will be assessed according to specific requirements for the programme you are applying for and whether your academic results are sufficient for studies at the MRU.

Right to Appeal

Recognition decisions can be appealed against to the Academic Recognition of Foreign Qualifications Concerning Higher Education Appeal Committee under the Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science.

Tuition fee (EU/Non-EU citizens) per 1 academic year: €4384 (academic year 2024-2025).

Payment information will be provided in the invoices issued in your online application form.

Student continues to pay the same tuition fee which was implied at the time of the admission.
