The first weekend in March, the Vilnius "Žalgiris-MRU" Women's Football Team participated in Lithuania's Women's Indoor Football Championships 2020 and brought home the gold after they beat the women's team from Panevėžys, "Panevėžys-PRSSG" 4:3 in Prienai.

At one point, with the result even, the women's team remained coolheaded, despite all the emotion and uncertainty until the end, said one of the team's championship players Ugnė Slankauskaitė.

We were winning, but the Panevėžys team evened the result and then came out ahead, said Slankauskaitė. Concentrating on the task in front, the women's team managed to stay united and won.

The road to the championship was full of hurdles. The "Žalgiris-MRU" Team had to beat the Šiaulių team 5:1 and the Vilnius JL "Stars" Team.
