Jan. 23rd, 2017, MRU Vice-Rector for Education and Research Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė welcomed about 120 new Erasmus+ and international exchange students telling them that they will be the University's Ambassadors.
"We are very internationally oriented," the Vice-Rector said in her Welcome Speech. She encouraged students, when not immersed in studies, to find time to take part in extracurricular cultural activities, explore Vilnius.
The new crop of students come from 30 different countries including China, India, Taiwan, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Spain, the U.K. and many others.
MRU Internatioal Office Head Audra Dargytė-Burokienė was on hand to meet students and made a presentation.
Many different events are planned for student this week including an outing to the castle town of Trakai. In addition, students will have the opportunity to visit the spa resort town of Druskininkai.
Feb. 2nd, an international dinner will be held in MRU's first floor cafeteria.
