Univ Academics from Iraq & Iraqi Kurdistan to Visit MRU
Feb. 15th, 2018, a delegation of university rectors, professors and academics from Iraq and the Iraqi Kurdistan region were to visit Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) to discuss cooperation possibilities.
They were scheduled to meet with MRU Rector Assoc. Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius, Vice-Rector for Education and Research Prof. Inga Žalėnienė and MRU Economics and Business Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Gintaras Černius to discuss possibilities for cooperation as well as other MRU Faculty representatives.
Among delegation members are: Iraqi Scientific Business Management Society Chairman of the Board of Directors President Dr. Haidar Hamza Jody of Baghdad's University of Mustansiriya; Koya University President Dr. Wali M. Hamad; University of Ahl al-Bayt Assistant President Prof. Dr. Lebanon Hatif Abdulameer as well as Deans from Duhok University, Sulaimani University and many other university academics.
Dean Prof. Černius said he looked forward to discuss cooperation possibilities. They may include students from Iraq studying in double degree programmes such as the Master's programme, Informatics and Visual Contents with Korea's Dongseo University (DSU), as well as in MBA Business Administration, Electronic Business Management and/or the Financial Markets grad programme.
MRU also offers the double degree Bachelor's programme, "Informatics and Digital Contents," with Korea's DSU.
Currently there are more than 300 degree-seeking students studying at MRU and 160 Erasmus+ international exchange students.
