May 19th, 2016, Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Lithuania Claire Louise Lawrence discussed the upcoming U.K. referendum, where voters will decide whether to remain in the European Union (EU).

She visited Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) and met members of the academic community.

On June 23rd, U.K. voters will go to the polls and vote in a referendum to decide whether to remain or to leave the EU.

The latest polls indicate that vote is close and the "yes" and "no" votes are evenly divided. About 10% of voters are still undecided.

The referendum is a precedent in the EU. There are fears that other EU-countries may follow with similiar referendums.
