On August 2, certificates were awarded to sixteen graduates of the Social Work with Children and Youth program (ESWOCHY) in Lisbon. Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) runs this program in collaboration with three other partners: Riga Stradins University (Latvia), the Catholic University in Ružomberok (Slovakia), and ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal).

This year, Prof. Dr. Regina Valutytė, Vice Rector of MRU, who came to congratulate the graduates, welcomed the partnership and the students' achievements.

"The Olympics inspire us to push boundaries and achieve greatness. As you step into the world with your newfound knowledge and skills, let that same inspiration drive you to make a meaningful impact in your society. Today, you are our champions of knowledge; now, it’s your turn to discover the paths that will lead you to become champions in the societies," the Vice Rector wished.

Associate Professor Dr Raminta Bardauskienė, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Studies at MRU, who is the head of the Master's programme, also visited the event in Lisbon.

"Your ingenuity, creativity, your enthusiasm and energy give hope that a lot can be done for children and youth in all over the world. You are not alone. You belong to ESWOCHY family. We need your leadership to start something new together," said the Vice-Dean.

MRU's most competitive study programme, with around 20 applicants for one place each year, has produced its second batch of graduates from all over the world. The ESWOCHY study programme is unique in that students can experience the cultures of 4 countries while studying for 2 years: the first semester is spent in Lithuania, the second semester in Latvia, the third semester in Slovakia, and the last semester in Portugal.
