This Saturday, 11 May, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) will host the "Students Hack Vilnius 3.0" hackathon for the third time.
During the event, concrete solutions to societal problems will be developed. During the 12-hour hackathon, teams aim to turn their idea into a prototype and present it to a panel of professional investors and experienced startup founders within 3 minutes.
"Today's ever-changing world is full of challenges that can only be tackled by bringing together collective thinking, motivated, creative and ambitious talents. This is not the first time that students have demonstrated creative and promising solutions that have the potential to become start-ups and attract investment. Students are often surprised how in just 12 hours, with a well-organised process, they can create a variety of solutions to global challenges", says Dr. Artūras Jurgelevičius, Associate Professor at the MRU Faculty of Public Governance and Business.
The Hackathon aims to foster students' creativity, entrepreneurial skills and analytical thinking, and most importantly, experiential learning.
We invite those who want to try their hand at creating startups to register for the event here.
"Students Hack Vilnius 3.0" is one of the initiatives implemented in MRU's innovative undergraduate study program Business Management and Startup Building, during which students create real startups rather than business plans.
