The students of the joint master’s program "European and International Business Law" spent their autumn semester at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (Université Savoie Mont Blanc) in Chambéry, France. This experience was not only academically enriching but also personally fulfilling, providing an opportunity to improve English and French language skills, deepen the understanding of law, and adapt to a new cultural environment. The University of Savoie Mont Blanc stood out for its high-quality teaching and interactive learning methods. Students attended lectures on European contract law, European Union economic integration, international transport law, etc. Discussions, case studies, and practical assignments encouraged critical thinking and the application of theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. One of the most significant aspects of this experience was linguistic and cultural immersion in French life. Living in France helped improve French language skills, while the multicultural student community provided an opportunity to broaden horizons and establish valuable international connections. Not everything was easy. Students faced language barriers, especially outside the university. But here they were helped by the basic French language skills they acquired during their first year of studies in Vilnius. |

One of the most memorable events for students was the integration week at the Courchevel resort. The five-day event not only allowed students to get to know their peers better but also offered a chance to engage in various outdoor activities such as mountain hiking, climbing, and team-building exercises. The ZipLine adventure left a particularly strong impression, testing participants' courage and providing unforgettable emotions. Anna, one of the program’s students, shared her experience: “I was absolutely enchanted by the feeling of reaching the top of a mountain or diving into a lake – these are moments when you feel detached from all the world’s problems and find harmony. Such places remain in your heart for a long time.” Dipraj also shared his impressions: “The tour was truly amazing. It exceeded my expectations. I met many people, some of whom became friends. There were many activities such as climbing, hiking, and team-building games. But I liked the ZipLine the most. Some activities were completely new to me, so at first, I felt a bit scared, but at the same time, I was excited. I strongly recommend taking this opportunity – you won’t regret it!” |
Students also participated in French language courses, which were not only beneficial for academic purposes but also helped create a friendly and informal bond with other program participants.
Overall, the autumn semester at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc was an invaluable experience both academically and personally. Students not only deepened their knowledge of European and international business law but also strengthened intercultural skills and created unforgettable memories. This experience has undoubtedly contributed to their professional and personal growth.
