A group of international students from 16 different countries has completed the 2nd studies semester of the “Erasmus Mundus“ Master‘s programme, “Governance and Administration of Leisure and Sports“ which they spent at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU).
During the semester, students had the possibility to meet experts from Lithuania and abroad. Non-governmental organization „Būk Geresnis“ Head Arminas Vareika, Olympic Entertainment Group representative Justas Jankauskas and Sports marketing specialist Rytis Sabas gave presentations and shared their experiences with students. There was an opportunity for students to visit the SEB Arena, meet with representatives of Lithuania‘s Tennis Federation. Students presented their papers while visiting the National Sports Agency. In May Visiting Lecturer Dr. Remco Hoekman from the Netherlands independent sports research institution, Mulier Institute, presented lectures to students.
GOALS is a joint Master‘s programme organizeds by 5 European universities in the field of sports management. The universities included are MRU, University of Lille, University of Lisbon, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun and Luxembourg‘s LUNEX University. The unique Master‘s Degree programme prepares specialists in the fields of sports, management and leisure.
