March 22nd, 2023, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) students and members of the Environmental Management LAB joined forces to celebrate World Water Day on campus.

On this World Water Day 2023, MRU students joined the global campaign „Be the change“ established by United Nations. It encourages people to take action to change how they use, consume and manage water. MRU students shared their ideas how each of us can contribute to global water conservation. Action, no matter how small, is the only language that progress understands.

Students signed a huge poster and suggested ideas on how to save water.

WorldWater Day has been celebrated since 1993 on March 22nd. It aims to raise awareness of the 2 billion people living without access to safe water.

The event was organized in part by MRU Environmental Management LAB jr. researcher Yuliana Shuhani. She was aided by LAB partners Miguel Inacio and geographer Manab Das from India.

MRU Vice-Rector's Advisor on issues of Sustainable Development Dr. Nomeda Gudelienė was also instrumental in helping organize the event.

Students suggested that everyone do their part or do what they can to conserve this precious resource.
