October 18th, 2019, photographer Romauldas Augūnas' black and white photo exhibit, "Dreaming of Lithuania" (Sapnuoju Lietuvą) opened in the 2nd floor foyer of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU).

Augūnas is well known for his travel photography, especially of mountains, alpine climbers and mountaineers.

It's possible to say that Augūnas is a traveler that never parts with his camera. Life's paths led him to many different and far-off countries and places. He captured much of this with his camera.

The current photo exhibition does not have any travel photos or snowy mountain tops, but is a return to his native Lithuania. It depicts villages and villagers and that which makes this corner of the world unique.

He captures the day-to-day life of people in an extraordinary way so that one can not stop admiring his photographs. He tries in his photos to depict the essence of humanity.
