May 2nd, 2016, Iceland's Reykjavik University Assoc. Prof. Mr. Eirikur Elis Tholaksson presented lectures to students of Mykolas Romeris University's (MRU) "European and International Business Law" joint Master's programme.

His lectures were on cross-border insolvency law issues and Iceland's experience. The lectures were integrated in the European and International Insolvency Law subject.

Visiting Lecturer Tholaksson is an Associate Professor at Reykjavik University. He lectures on financial law and procedural law.

Also, he is an experienced attorney with an extensive professional background in the international business environment. He is a Supreme Court Attorney since 2008.

Recently he worked on issues related to the failure of Icelandic banks as a result of the 2008 financial crisis.

He has been appointed by the Icelandic government to several different committees and serves on the boards of several prominent Icelandic companies.
