May 24th, 2019, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienė met with the Ambassador of France Claire Lignieres-Counathe. French Institute Director Jean-Marie Sani also took part in the meeting.

Snce 2004, MRU - in cooperation with the Embassy of France, has a Francophone Studies Centre on campus.

French language is taught as part of the Translation and Editing programme and the English for Specific Purposes and the Second Foreign Language programme.

There are now 4 French language teachers at MRU and one of them is a French national.

MRU implements two joint studies programmes: European and International Business Law and European Union Law and Governance.

As of December 2018, there were 21 students from France studying under the auspices of the Erasmus+ programme and 6 students in degree-seeking programmes.
