It includes the following universities: the University of Lille (France), Babeș-Bolyai University (Romania), Malmö University (Sweden), the University of Minho (Portugal), Roma Tre University (Italy), University of Wroclaw (Poland) and MRU. "The role of universities creating knowledge, social, economic and cultural environment connections becomes more meaningful," notes Rector Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė. "Therefore reacting to contemporary events, Mykolas Romeris University along with foreign partners created this European universities strategic partnership network." In the XXI century, when the European Union is challenged by social, economic, political and cultural challenges, universities become catalyzers of society processes. They are able to name, construct and reconstruct ongoing processes in a global society, fostering society to become part of the creation of Europe and the future world. "It is important to develop new education processes, cooperation models, which would offer European citizens and the society sustainable social, cultural, democratic economic solutions," said Rector Žalėnienė.
