
On May 8th at 1:00 PM, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) will host a public lecture titled “Digital Accessibility and Assistive Technologies: Innovations and Future Perspectives.” The lecture will be delivered by one of the leading international experts in the field – Prof. Dominique Archambault from Université Paris 8-Vincennes-Saint-Denis.
The event is organized by the MRU Health Research Laboratory and invites everyone – from students to public sector representatives – to explore the rapidly evolving topic of digital accessibility more deeply.
Prof. Dominique Archambault is an internationally recognized scholar, head of the Technologies, Disabilities, Interactions, Multimodalities (THIM) research group and Deputy Director of the CHArt laboratory. He has previously contributed to disability policy development in French universities, served as an expert for EU international projects, and currently holds the position of President of the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE).
During the lecture, Prof. Archambault will share insights on:
- The latest innovations in digital accessibility and their application in everyday life
- The impact of assistive technologies on the quality of life for people with disabilities
- International experience in shaping inclusive policy
- Practical examples of how technology is transforming the job market and increasing accessibility to opportunities
