On 24 April, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) was visited by the President of the National Chengchi University of Taiwan (NCCU), Prof. Dr. Tsai-Yen Li, and his delegation (Prof. Dr. Vance Kuang-Ta Lo and Prof. Caroline Tsai). The guests were met by the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė, the Head of the Security Research Laboratory and Researcher of the LegalTech Centre of the School of Law Prof. Dr. Marius Laurinaitis, the Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Human and Social Studies Prof. Dr. Linas Selmistraitis, the Head of the Office of International Affairs Ms. Audra Dargytė-Burokienė, and the Senior Manager of the Asia Centre Ms. Karolina Zakarauskaitė.
The meeting focused on opportunities for closer cooperation between the two universities, internationalism, integration of technology into social sciences and humanities. Prof. Marius Laurinaitis, Head of the Security Research Laboratory, presented a wide range of information on ongoing projects, cybersecurity and Fintech (financial technology) legal regulation in Lithuania and Europe.
Prof. Linas Selmistraitis, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Studies, discussed the cooperation in philology and psychology study programmes.
