Lithuania's President Gitanas Nausėda has appointed Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Psychology Institute Prof. Jolanta Sondaitė to sit on the Judicial Court of Honour, the President's press office reported Dec. 4th, 2020. She is one of 10 members of the Judicial Court of Honour.
Prof. Sondaitė, as a coordinator, participates in international "Erasmus" projects. She replaces Prof. Juozas Žilys who sat on the Judicial Court of Honour.
The Judicial Court of Honour is an autonomic authority of the courts that hears judicial disciplinary cases and petitions of judges for defense of honor of judges.
The Court of Honor has ten members. Two candidates to Court of Honor are appointed by the President of the Republic of Lithuania, two candidates – by the Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, and six candidates – by the Judicial Council.
