April 15th, 2015, newly-elected Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Assoc. Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius met with MRU students for an open discussion.

Elected Rector Monkevičius introduced himself, talked about his background, education, and hobbies - including photography.

Past MRU Student Body (MRUSA) President Andrius Zalitis moderated the discussion.

Current MRUSA President Justinas Motiejūnas congratulated Rector Monkevičius on the post. He presented Elected Rector Monkevičius with an invitation to "MRU Nite," an annual student-organized all-night event at the University that will be held April 16th.

MRU student Lahcen Mehennaoui from Algeria, representing the International Students Association (ISA), congratulated the new Rector and addressed issues of concern.

Elected Rector Monkevičius, listened and answered questions for more than an hour. He said there should be more open discussion sessions in the future.

The next discussion with the Rector may take place as early as June and/or August.
