Times Higher Education, the world's prestigious university ranking agency, has published THE Impact Rankings 2024.  Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) was ranked as the leader among other Lithuanian universities and has significantly improved its progress and position in the international higher education area. 2152 universities from 125 countries / regions took part in the rankings.

MRU is best ranked in the following areas: gender equality (SDG 5), reduced inequalities (SDG 11), peace, justice and strong institutions (SDG 16) and partnership in achieving goals (SDG17). MRU ranks 101-200 position in the area of gender equality globally.  In areas of reduced inequalities (SDG 11) and peace, justice and strong institutions (SDG 16) MRU ranks 201-300 position in the world. Through collaborative research, shared knowledge and mobilisation of resources, universities facilitate effective global networks that enhance technological capabilities, financial support and policy alignment for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Since 2019, the Times Higher Education agency has been assessing the contribution of universities to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the national and international level and the progress of strategic partnerships. The Sustainable Development Goals, agreed upon by 193 leaders of the world in New York in 2015 covers environmental, economic and social development, joining forces nationally and internationally in various economic spheres, and promoting strategic partnerships. Research publications indexed in the Elsevier Scopus database, studies, university management and impact on the community were evaluated.
