Lithuania's Young Scientists' Association has recognized 2 Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) young scholars' PhD dissertations as among the Best of 2017. MRU Psychology Institute Lecturer Rimantas Vosylis and Rusnė Kregždaitė were recognized for their dissertations.
Lithuania's President Dalia Grybauskaitė will congratulate them and other young scholars in an upcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace.
Lecturer Vosylis was recognized for the 2017 dissertation, "Psychological Aspects of Adult Development in Youth Groups with Different Social Maturity." Kregždaitė was recognized for her dissertation, "Culture and Creative Industries Evaluation Modelling in European Union (EU) Countries."
There were a total of 10 dissertations in the areas of Humanities, Technology. Biomedicine and Agriculture that were deemed worthy of recognition.
The dissertations were evaluated by competent experts - scholars from Lithuania and abroad. The recognition is part of efforts to encourage doctoral students to prepare high-level dissertations, which would be recognized not only in Lithuania, but throughout the whole world as well as encourage interdisciplinary cooperation.
