Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Career Center together with employers is organizing a series of events for students, "Measure up the Organization." The initiative is aimed at improving students' skills in practice and increasing their competitiveness in the labor market. In monthly meetings with employers, students will have the opportunity to further get acquainted and meet future employers.
At the Event - International "Danske Bank"
Representatives of Danske Bank, one of the branches which is in Lithuania, participated in the first meeting organized by the MRU Career Center. It is a bank operating in 12 countries and serving 3.4 million private, business and institutional clients. It is also important to note that this bank specializes in global teams working in a variety of areas: IT operations, IT development, asset management, risk management, financial crime prevention, banking, digitization, real estate management, public procurement, law and compliance, communications , loan portfolio administration, etc. "Danske Bank" employs a variety of professionals some of which are MRU students.
Job Prospects Discussed
At the "Danske Bank“ meeting, information was presented to students about money laundering prevention and anti money laundering (AML) specialist careers. MRU graduate and "Danske Bank“ employee Eivina Šapranauskaitė and other bank representatives discussed job prospects for AML specialists: the need, legal regulations and financial crime indicators. MRU students learned about requirements for specialists, why the job is attractive and how to begin an AML career along with possibilities for an internship. Students actively took part and asked questions.
