June 5-7th, 2023, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienė's-led delegation visited SWPS University in Warsaw.
University Faculty Deans and Department Heads discussed academic achievements, challenges faced by higher education institutions and new possibilities for cooperation. SWPS University Rector Prof. Dr. Roman Cieślak met with and welcomed the MRU delegation.
"The visit to SWPS University allowed to deepen our cooperation with a long-time partner and to share our good practices as well as to agree on further strategic cooperation activities," said MRU Rector Prof. Žalėnienė. She noted that university partnerships, especially expanding cooperation in the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) is very promising.
"We are united by the common belief that studies and scientific research need to be even more focused on the progress of society, which is impossible without a deeper understanding of human and societal development in the age of dynamic social changes and new technologies," she said. "Therefore, social and humanitarian sciences have a special role in contributing to the sustainable development of society", added Rector Prof. Žalėnienė.
SWPS colleagues acquainted the MRU delegation with the updated, advanced infrastructure of the University, specialised laboratories and a psychotherapy clinic.
SWPS colleagues introduced MRU representatives to the updated advanced infrastructure of the university, specialized laboratories, and a psychotherapy clinic. This will help MRU representatives to better prepare for the implementation of the MRU investment project and the renovation of educational buildings and their adaptation to the needs of the community.
Poland's SWPS University is one of the largest private universities in Poland, conducting studies and research in the areas of social sciences and humanities. The University is known for its good national and international rankings, its unquestionable quality of education and the outstanding academic staff.
The visit of MRU representatives to this university was organised under the auspices of the "Erasmus+" staff mobility program.
