February 27th, 2023, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienė signed a 5-year cooperation agreement with the Irish professional business services and consulting company Accenture.

 MRU Public Governance and Business Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Darius Štitilis initiated the agreement. 

"Sharing knowledge and experience with students is one of the best investments in the future. In a constantly changing world, this partnership will help prepare MRU's studying talents even better for the job market. The signed agreement with the Company, "Accenture," is one of the steps in improving the educational and business environment in Lithuania," said Faculty Dean Prof. Štitilis.

Accenture is the world's largest IT management consulting firm, helping the world's leading enterprises, governments and other organizations build a digital foundation, optimize operations, accelerate revenue growth and improve citizen service, creating tangible value quickly and at scale. Currently, the company has over 700,000 employees from 120 countries around the world.

"Business success today requires customer-oriented digital transformation. Qualified IT specialists are in high demand in all Baltic countries. MRU's collaboration with Accenture promotes increasing the number of graduates with IT skills," said Maksims Jegorovs, „Accenture's“ Baltic Countries Head. "Accenture will offer guest lectures, practical workshops, topics for Bachelor's and Master's theses. In addition, there will be an opportunity to get acquainted with the company's internship and employment opportunities, professions, and technology trends, said Maksims Jegorovs.

According to this agreement, there are already two lectures planned. At the behest of the Faculty's Prof. Tadas Limba,  March 27th there will be two lectures. The first will be Introduction to Data Analytics & Visualization Lecture. The second lecture will be, "Basics of Azure Data Engineering."
