May 4th, during the Lithuanian Business Confederation‘s (LVK) Congress, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienė was awarded a "Badge of Honour“ for her contribution promoting corporate social responsibility initiatives.
The LVK event at the Vilnius Tech Park, singled out businessmen, social activists, and government officials who were recognized for their achivements. Lithuania‘s Premier Ingrida Šimonytė, Prof. Virginijus Šikšnys and Jonas Öhman were among those who received awards.
During the Congress, the LVK "Badges of Honor" were also presented honoring personal initiatives that have contributed to strengthening the organization, promoting entrepreneurship and improving the business environment, addressing social issues and assisting Ukraine. Among those recognized were MRU Rector Prof. Žalėnienė, who was awarded the "Badge of Honor" award.
Rector Prof. Žalėnienė received the award for her contribution to promoting corporate social responsibility initiatives in Lithuania and active participation in the activities of LVK.
The "Badge of Honor" is an international award of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), which is awarded only for special merits to business and society.
