MRU receives international recognition: Dr. Nomeda Gudelienė has been elected as a Climate Pact Ambassador

MRU Adviser to Deputy Rector on Sustainable Development, Dr. Nomeda Gudelienė has been elected by the Directorate-General for Climate Action of the European Commission as a Climate Pact Ambassador for a one-year term. The position provides opportunities to share information and good practices, together with Mykolas Romeris University community and partners to find innovative and creative solutions to develop sustainable environment and economy.

The European Climate Pact is the European Commission initiative, a movement of people united for a common goal, seeking to take action in their own country and together create a more sustainable Europe. Climate Pact Ambassadors are leaders of organizations and associations, community leaders, leaders of informal groups or movements, mayors, parliamentarians, policymakers or other public office holders, representatives of cultural, educational or research institutions, influencers, opinion leaders.

The Ambassadors of the Climate Pact collaborate with interested parties from all over Europe, lead by example, inspire and connect with others, team up with like-minded individuals, collaborate with stakeholders from across Europe and share information on EU climate policy and action in search of innovative, creative, interdisciplinary solutions for systemic changes in the field of environmental protection and climate change.
