MRU Intl Exchange Manager Says Exec Training Workshop in India – Inspirational

Jan. 4th-Feb. 1st, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) International Exchange & Students Unit Manager Kornelija Gulbiniskaitė attended the General Management Programme for Senior Executives in the Indian city of Hyderabad.
There were 34 participants from 24 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Caribbean that listened to lectures and participated in workshops at the Administrative Staff College of India.
Only Gulbinskaitė and a colleague from Hungary were from Europe. Other participants came from: Armenia, Bhutan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Grenada, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malawi, Mynamar, Nauru, Niger, Nigeria, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Thailand, and Uzbekistan.
"It was useful for the fact that you spend a month with people who are leaders in their area," Gulbinskaitė said after returning from the training programme.
"It was inspiring and people were very supportive. I learned a lot that I will be able to apply in my job," she added. She said that she had the opportunity to listen to lectures on leadership, marketing and project management.
The workshops and training were interactive and there were numerous discussions, seminars and work on teams.
Most useful was to work and learn from participants from other countries, make contacts and discuss future cooperation possibilities, she explained.
There was also the possibility to take part in excursions and visit the city, a traditional fair and to see Hyderabad and a bit of India, she said.
The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme financed the training and workshops.
