Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) experts Prof. Dr. Lyra Jakulevičienė, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salvija Mulevičienė, Prof. Dr. Jolanta Zajančkauskienė, experts dr. Marijus Šalčius and Reda Molienė have begun cooperation with the National Courts Administration from mid-September 2021.

The latter is implementing the project, “Improvement of Quality, Services and Infrastructure in Lithuanian Courts”, financed 2014-2021 by funds of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism.

The main expected results of the cooperation during a 10-month period include: preparing a court procedure study, analyzing the current situation, undertaking monitoring and analysing best practices from abroad, on the basis of which effective court-based methodological tools will be developed and implemented in the judicial system. This will ensure faster court proceedings, shorter trial times, more effective implementation of the right to justice; preparing drafts of legal acts at all levels regulating the conduct of court proceedings and / or their amendments.
