On 6-10 May 2024 the delegation of Mykolas Romeris University - Rector Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė, Dean of the Law School Prof. Dr. Lyra Jakulevičienė and Director of the Institute of Private Law prof. dr. Virginijus Bite paid a visit to the Tashkent National University of Law (TSUL), Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the delegation discussed with the Rector of TSUL, Prof. Dr. Rustambekov Islambek, and the heads of the administrative departments, the possibilities of cooperation in the field of studies (implementation of double degree programmes in the areas of legaltech, mediation, international and business law). Joint activities of students at the MRU Legaltech Centre and the newly established TSUL Department of Cyber Security Law were also discussed, as well as the experiences of international exchange of students. Opportunities for cooperation in research field (postdoctoral studies and exchange of researchers) were presented, and experiences in intergration of innovative study methods and quality assurance were exchanged. The delegation interacted with bachelor and master studies‘ students and PhD candidates.

Prof. Dr Lyra Jakulevičienė delivered lectures to TSUL students on climate change litigation and Artificial Intelligence, other new technologies and human rights. Prof. Dr. Virginijus Bitė introduced the students to the European Corporate Law.
