Jan. 11th, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Basketball players 73-65 defeated the Kaunas University of Applied Sciences (KK) team in a Lithuanian Student Basketball League (LSKL) regular season game.

The MRU top basketball scorer was Gytis Radzevičius with 18 points, Rytis Pipiras with 12 points, Lukas Kvedaravičius with 9 points. MRU basketball players Mykolas Dieninis and Tadas Rinkūnas scored 8 points each.

MRU, the reigning champions in 2013 and 2014, currently are in 5th place of 11 LSKL teams with 5 wins and 6 losses.

"The players didn't take into consideration the opponents and thought it would be an easy win," said MRU coach Mindaugas Sakalauskas.

"During the break I had a serious talk. It's good that they took it all into consideration and that we won," added the coach.

Jan. 18th, the MRU Team will face 1st-place the Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) Basketball Team in a home game played in MRU's Sports Hall.
