In March, Lithuania's Department of Physical Education and Sports Support Fund's Council awarded Mykolas Romeris University's Health and Sports Centre 10,000 Eur to renovate MRU recreational areas.
Funds were allocated after MRU submitted a 2018 project, "Renovation of the Didlaukis Community Sports Recreation Area."
According to MRU Health and Sports Centre Deputy Director Jolanta Gedvilienė, bettering the conditions for recreation would help improve the healthy lifestyles of players and teams that work out.
The renovated recreational area, next to the sports hall would be a great oasis for the Didlaukis academic village. Events could be held here, she noted. The Didlaukis village has great perspectives to provide for the needs of the area and Vilnius itself.
