Mykolas Romeris University Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienė and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Global Development and Vice-President of Australia's Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) Prof. Peter Coloe have signed an agreement to cooperate in the area of cyber security.

According to the memorandum, the Cyber ​​Security Research and Innovation Center of RMIT University together with MRU's Faculty of Public Governance and Business agreed to cooperate and expand their contacts in the field of cyber security - to establish the Australian Lithuanian Cyber Research Network - ALCRN.

ALCRN will seek to bring together cyber security, FINTECH and innovation researchers to collaborate and develop high-quality and high-impact research, partnerships, joint initiatives with social partners, and the expansion of studies and research infrastructures, as well as participation in national and international research programs.

The RMIT Cyber ​​Security Research and Innovation Center, established in 2020, is recognized as a world-class interdisciplinary cyber security research center. RMIT Director - Prof. Matthew Warren has lectured and will continue to lecture at the Faculty of Public Governance and Business in study programs related to cyber security. He is a researcher and practitioner in the field of cyber security and computer ethics. His research articles are published in prestigious scientific journals in the field of cyber security. His expertise and assessments in the areas of cyber security, cyber security management, security risk analysis, critical infrastructure protection, human security and cyber innovation are published in different parts of the world.
