Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is the first in Lithuania to coordinate an international Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree programme, "European Joint Master's in Social Work with Children and Youth" after approval by the Education, Audiovisual & Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
The goal of the programme is to develop individuals with a high level of professional competence in Social Work that will be able to work in an intercultural level with children and youth.
Following the adoption of the revised 2020 Erasmus+ Annual Work Programme, the EACEA approved the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (JMD) project “European Joint Master in Social Work with Children and Youth”.
Mykolas Romeris University is now the first higher education institution in Lithuania to lead a project in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme.
The other project partners are: Riga Stradins University (Latvia), ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Portugal) and Katolicka Univerzita v Ruzomberku (Slovakia). The overall budget of the project is 2,43 000 Euros.
An Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD), is a prestigious, integrated, international study programme jointly delivered by an international consortium of higher education institutions.
