May 2nd, 2018, Humanities Institute Lecturer Marjan Masoodi from Iran presented various Persian sweets for University academics, staff.

The Persian sweets are served in Iran with tea or coffee said Mastoid. She brought a whole suitcase full of baklava, candies with rose water, baklava, sweets and cookies.

There were also nuts on display to try including pistachios.

Masoodi said the most unique sweet is the cotton saffron candy. It is considered a traditional sweet.
