June 22nd, 2023, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), Rector Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė presided over Law School graduation ceremonies telling graduates, "embrace this moment with a sense of pride and make a positive impact in the world."

Rector Prof. Žalėnienė and Law School Dean Prof. Dr. Lyra Jakulevičienė awarded 250 Bachelor's and Master's Degree diplomas to graduates of MRU's Law School. Of these 198 were Master's Degree diplomas and 52 Bachelor's Degree diplomas.

At the graduation ceremony, six law students graduated at the top of their class and were awarded "Leader's" diplomas for excellent grades. One of them was Azeri Khadija Imranova, a lawyer from Baku heading back to Azerbaijan to work in a law firm.

Other students awarded Leader's diplomas from the Law School's Master's Technologies LL.M. programme included Indrė Jackūnė, Indrė Japertaitė, Ramunė Narbutavičienė and Ignas Sidaras.

In her Commencement Address, MRU Rector Prof. Žalėnienė told Law School graduates that they have joined the ranks of MRU's network of alumni.

"As you leave this University, remember that you are not alone. You are now part of a huge network of Mykolas Romeris University alumni and worldwide partners, who have achieved great success in their respective fields. Stay connected, collaborate and support each other. Embrace this moment... " she told graduates and their friends and family gathered in a packed, standing-room only auditorium.

Law School Dean Prof. Jakulevičienė told graduates to keep in mind what the legal profession means, emphasizing the universality of this profession, the possibilities of choosing a professional path, and reminding them of the responsibility that awaits after joining the ranks of lawyers, She encouraged them not to be neutral observers, when it is necessary to defend human rights, the rule of law and other democratic values.

During the graduation ceremony, the President of  France's University Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and a professor from that University were awarded MRU honorary titles.

University Savoie Mont Blanc President Prof. Dr. Philippe Galez was bestowed with the title of honorary professor for long-term cooperation with MRU, progress in higher education, development of academic exchanges and research.

University of Savoie Mont Blanc Dr. Eric Brunat was awarded the MRU Honorary Member title for his long-term leadership of the joint MRU-USMB Master's Degree programme, "European and International Business Law" and exceptional fostering of mutual cooperation.
 
Among the graduate students that got diplomas, as many as 103 were awarded LL.M. diplomas with the degree of Master of Law (LL.M. of Labor Law, LL.M. of Mediation, LL.M. of Health Law, LL.M. of Law and Technology, LL.M. of Public Procurement Law).
 
Those attending the Law School's graduation ceremonies included: Seimas Deputy Speaker Julius Sabatauskas, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania Nida Grunskienė, Chairman of the Lithuanian Bar Association Mindaugas Kukaitis, Constitutional Court Justice Stasys Šedbaras, Judges of the Supreme Court of Lithuania Prof. Dr. Rima Ažubalytė and Dalia Vasarienė, National Courts Administration Director Natalija Kaminskienė and other honored guests.
