Dec. 13th, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Law Faculty Prof. Milda Vainiūtė was sworn in as Lithuania's Justice Minister in a ceremony at the Seimas. Prof. Vainiūtė, at MRU from 2000, lectured on Constitutional Law. She is the first woman to Head the Justice Ministry. From 2011-2016 she was Head of the Law Faculty's Constitutional Law Dept. MRU Law Faculty academics and Dean Lyra Jakulevičienė have congratulated Vainiūtė on her appointment. She is the author of many legal papers, publications and co-author and editor of various books dealing with law and legal matters.
