KSI Lectures: “Korean Society & Culture” Began Sept. 17th

Sept. 17th, 2015, the King Sejong Institute (KSI) began offering a series of open lectures in English, "Korean Society and Culture" at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU).

The first lecture, "South Korea's Economic Miracle: The Country 50 Years Ago and Now," was taught by Lecturer dr. Linas Didvalis and was held Sept. 17th.

Lectures took place on Thursdays and were held in English. Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) Centre for Asian Studies Lecturer and Researcher dr. Linas Didvalis presented the lectures.

The Lecture Topics were as follows:

  • "South Korea's Economic Miracle: The Country 50 years Ago and Now" (Sept. 17th);
  • "The Core Values of South Korea's Society: Confucianism and its Daily Manifestation" (Sept. 24th);
  • "Being Part of South Korean Society: Family, Children, Career and Leisure" (Oct. 1st);
  • "Changing and Globalizing South Korea: Major Contemporary Issues" (Oct. 8th).
