Conference

The Faculty of Public Governance and Business of Mykolas Romeris University, in cooperation with the International Hellenic University, invites you to the 16th International Scientific Conference "Economies of the Balkan and Eastern European Countries" (EBEEC 2024), which will be held at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) on 17-19 May 2024.

This year's conference theme, Perspectives on Resilience, Sustainability and Progress, invites researchers to discuss the potential of a resilient and secure economy, the benefits of sustainable governance initiatives, and the empowerment of digital transformations. In plenary presentations, Andre Torre, President of the European Association for Regional Studies, Professor at the University of Paris-Saclay, INRA, and Giovanni Schiuma, Professor at the Universitat Libera Universit à Mediterranea in Italy, will share their insights on the prospects for sustainable development and digital leadership.

EBEEC 2024 will feature 132 scientific presentations by 299 authors representing 82 universities from 22 different countries. The event will culminate in a book of research papers, “Resilience, Sustainability, and Social Progress: Navigating Economic Recovery with a Human-Centric Focus”, published by the international publishing house “Springer”, as well as a collection of research papers, “KnowledgeE”.

We are pleased and proud that this year's conference, organised at Mykolas Romeris University, has attracted a wide range of attention and a broad international community, and at the same time we look forward to a smooth continuation of cooperation in the fields of research and studies.
