Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) made significant gains in "Webometrics" rankings by Spain's National Research Council's (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas - CSIC) Cybermetrics Lab. They are held every six months and analyse university activity on the World Wide Web. According to this ranking, MRU is among the top 5 best universities in Lithuania.
The overall "Webometrics" ranking is based on four criteria: impact, presence, openness, and excellence. These indicators are based on third-party links to university websites, the visibility of websites on search engines, the number of research papers by university academics published in open access scientific databases and influential scientific journals and the frequency of their citations.
The rankings indicate that the qualitative change of MRU, among Lithuanian universities in comparison with 2019, is the largest.
This qualitative change was driven by an increase in the impact criteria (from 2949 place to 2330) and openness criteria (Google Scholar) (from 2473 place to 2380).
