Iceland's President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, who visited Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) earlier this month on a State Visit marking the 25th anniversary of Lithuania's Restoration of Independence, has sent a letter of thanks to MRU Rector Prof. Alvydas Pumputis for the warm reception.
"I appreciated the opportunity to deliver a lecture at your university on "Historic Crossroads: Democracy or Financial Markets," President Grimsson states in his letter.
"It is always a pleasure to visit academic institutions and have an opportunity to exchange views both with academic staff and students," wrote the President.
"I highly enjoyed the music, dance and play of flags that was staged during my visit and I ask you to forward my thanks to all those who participated in the event," the President wrote.
