May 15th-19th, 2023, four members of Mykolas Romeris University's (MRU) Faculty of Human and Social Studies visited the University of Seville. They included: Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Odeta Merfeldaite; Faculty Vice-Dean for International Relations and Projects Prof. Dr. Jolanta Pivoriene; Communication Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marius Kalinauskas; and Faculty Lecturer Dr. Isabel Palomo Dominguez.

They were welcomed by the Faculty Dean Dr. Luis Navarrete; the Vice-Dean of Infrastructure and Digital Transformation Dr. Rodrigo Elías; Director of Alumni Dr. Gloria Jiménez; and Lecturer Dr. Dolores Rando, also a member of the academic team at MRU.

Both sides explored further avenues for cooperation. They exchanged various approaches and experienced students' practical learning in media technology.

In the activity programme, academics also had the opportunity to visit the Andalusian Audiovisual Council, a public body in charge of defending the citizens' rights in the field of radio and television in the region of Andalusia. It is also a body that monitors compliance with current regulations on audiovisual and advertising matters.

MRU Faculty members are hopeful that colleagues from the University of Seville will make a reciprocal visit in the future.
