Gabija Staponaitė elected as the new MRUSA president

On March 22, the official members of the Mykolas Romeris University Student Representative Body (MRUSA) elected a new president during the electoral conference. The position was awarded to second-year Psychology student Gabija Staponaitė, who will replace the outgoing president, Ieva Gustė Kavaliauskaitė.

"I sincerely thank MRUSA members for their trust – this is a great honor and responsibility. My goal is to ensure that our organization meets the needs of students and truly represents their voice within the university. I encourage everyone to reach out, share ideas, and help build an even stronger MRU community together!" said G. Staponaitė.

During the conference, the newly elected president and her team were congratulated by MRU Vice-Rector for Studies, Prof. Dr. Natalija Kaminskienė, as well as representatives of the Lithuanian National Union of Students (LSS).

  • Chairperson of the Public Relations Committee: Deimantė Žiliūtė
  • Chairperson of the Social and Academic Affairs Committee: Deimantė Valiūtė
  • Chairperson of the Human Resources Committee: Georgij Kopcov
  • Chairperson of the Public Security Academy: Aura Kazlaitė
  • Chairperson of the Sudovian Academy: Lukas Cikana

In addition to the new team, a new MRUSA Board was also confirmed:

New members of the Control Commission were also elected:

  • Gabija Rokytė (MRUSA alumna)

During the conference, reports from the previous presidium, board, and control commission were approved for the past term.
