April 27th, 2015, Flamenco and Tapas Tasting began Spain's Cultural Week events at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). Lectures, presentations by students, and more were held during Cultural Week from April 27th-30th.
April 27th, during the opening, Flamenco Club, "Tiento" dancers performed. Following the performance there was a Tapas Tasting event.
During the week there was an opportunity to become more closely acquainted with Spain's cultural through flamenco, song, poetry, films and tapas taste tasting.
The week-long event was organized by the Politics and Management Faculty and the Institute of Philosophy and Humanities along with the Embassy of Spain in Lithuania.
Tuesday, April 28th
12.50-13.30 hrs., in MRU's I-407 aud., MRU Intercultural Communication studies students present, "A Closer Look at Spain".
15.00-16.30 hrs., in MRU's II-212 aud., getting to know Spain and its culture via songs presented by MRU Lecturer J.C. Pagán Motos who is from Spain.

A short visit to Madrid's most beautiful sites and places
12.50 – 13.20 hrs., Library, Reading Room (presented by MRU Translation & Editing and International & Intercultural Communication studies programme 1st yr. students)
Erasmus students back from Spain's University of Cordoba talk about their experiences and studies in Spain.
13.30 – 14.00 hrs., I-108 aud. (with input by Translation and Editing studies programme 3rd year students)
At at 14.40-15.10 hrs.,. in III-322 aud, From Madrid up to the Heavens. De Madrid al cielo (Luis Quiñones de Benavente) The most beautiful poetry about Spain's capital Madrid read by Translation and Editing studies programme III year students)
Afternoon with Film begins at 16:10 hrs.,. in III-322 aud., with screening of 2014 award-winning "Eight Basque Surnames" directed by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro.
