March 13-17th, 2017, students of the European Joint Master's in Strategic Border Management programme defended their theses at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). The programme is implemented by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency FRONTEX.

The Faculty of Public Security of MRU is one of the partners, actively participating in implementation of the programme along with universities from Estonia, Latvia, the Netherlands and Spain.

Students of the programme are long-time employees of European Union (EU) Border and Coast Guard agencies.

First graduates of the programme are due to receive diplomas in June 2017.

The 2-year programme began in September 2015 and is divided into 10 sessions which have different themes. One of the six universities is responsible for each of the sessions.
