On December 14, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) hosted the fourth annual hackathon dedicated to ERUA's anniversary. The event brought together 70 students from MRU and other higher education institutions in Lithuania. Thirteen teams competed for the title of best idea, presenting innovative concepts in social entrepreneurship.
After an intense 10 hours, the winners were announced. First place was awarded to the idea News Busters — a solution designed for information search and data reliability assessment.
Second place went to HerGrow, a platform aimed at helping Ukrainian mothers find remote work.
Third place was shared by two teams that scored equally. Office Motion proposed a platform to encourage physical activity in offices, while Mind Hug.me introduced an idea for camps promoting schoolchildren's social skills and psychological well-being.
Participants' projects were evaluated by a professional jury, which focused on the novelty and creativity of ideas, their global impact potential, presentation quality, and prototype development.
The hackathon not only marked ERUA's first anniversary but also inspired young leaders to create solutions with the potential to make a difference both locally and globally.
