Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) graduate Dr. Aušra Šaltenytė has made the Guinness World Records Book with her collection of more than 4,000 dolphins and dolphin-related souvenirs.
She has been collecting dolphins since 2000. On Jan. 31st, 2019, she displayed her collection at MRU and then applied to make the Guinness World Records Book.
She is listed as the holder of the largest collection of dolphins and dolphin-related items with the official total listed as 3516, which was achieved on Jan. 31st, 2019.
"I am grateful to MRU for the support they gave me as I sought this title," said Šaltenytė, a dolphin enthusiast.
In 2019 she displayed her collection at MRU so it could be counted in public and photographed.
Dr. Šaltenytė successfully defended her PhD dissertation, "Management of Biological Diversity Protection" at MRU in 2013.
