March 8th, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Algirdas Monkevičius delivered the opening address at a discussion on "March 11th and Commitment."

On March 11th in 1990, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania adopted an Act on the Restoration of an Independent State of Lithuania.

Former Constitutional Court Justice and MRU Law Faculty Prof. Vytautas Sinkevičius, former Seimas Parliament Chairman and MRU Honorary Doctor Česlovas Juršėnas and History Teacher and Lithuania's Youth Organization Council President Mantas Zakarka addressed participants.

The discussion was moderated by MRU Law Faculty Prof. Dr. Juozas Žilys and Law Faculty Lecturer Juozas Valčiukas.
