June 4th, 2015, during the“BZN start” organized “Business Women’s Awards 2015” ceremony, MRU Deputy Vice-Rector Šarūnas Sakalauskas presented the “Most Innovative Young Education Business” prize to Renata Česūnienė. She heads the educational initiative, “Megintuvėlis.lt”
The prize was one of six awards that were presented during the Awards Ceremony held at the Vilnius “Novotel” Hotel.
There was also a special nomination for “Making Science Popular for Youth” that went to “Biok Laboratories” Marketing Head Romualda Stragienė.
The awards were for presented to innovative businesses headed by women. One such business was chocolate postcards, “Chocopost.lt” created by Indra Stepulienė. She said that a majority of her customers are women – 85% and that the product is also a very feminine-type of product.
One participant, “Innospark” founder Vita Markevičiūtė, said the awards ceremony was a great chance to meet others and network. “Small businesses can help each other,“ she said.
Mykolas Romeris University was an organizing partner, along with Swedbank, the Research, Innovation and Technologies Agency, the Shopping Centre „Ozas,“ „Ecodenta,“ website news site, „DELFI.lt and the „Žinių radijas“ radio station.
